Who Are You Bringing?
With only 4 days to go till the big relocation – who are you bringing with you on Sunday?
Anticipation is high, the excitement is obvious to see and expectation is huge as we head closer day by day. We know that Sunday is going to be a ground breaking day for our great church and we are so pumped about that. All the plans have been made, teams have been trained, new items have been purchased and rehearsals have been done. With a few days to go we are ready!
But lets not for one second forget that more than anything else this Sunday is about people. People is the reason our church exists, people is what makes us get out of bed in a morning and people is exactly why we are taking this next step in our church journey. It is about people nothing more and nothing less!
Everyone of us have people in our world that we can get on the phone to or drop and e-mail to invite them to our first Sunday at The Djanogly Theatre. It is so easy for us to get carried away in all the excitement and forget that actually this is all about people. We know that many hundreds are going to say ‘yes’ to Jesus in our new facility and we want this to start this Sunday. Not in a month, not in a week or two but this Sunday. That is what we are planning for, this is what we are aiming for and that is what we are expecting!
It could be your friend, neighbour, work colleague or husband. It could be; but only if you bring them along. So over the next 3 days be asking yourself who can you bring? But more than that don’t just ask the question actually do it!
Looking forward to seeing you and them on Sunday!

One week & 7 days
Only one week to go!
Next Sunday Outreach Church relocates to The Djanogly Theatre in Nottingham and we could not be more excited. We are on the home straight after months of planning and work behind the scenes. There have been so many different aspects of church life that we have improved and intentionally stepped up in as part of the move we just know that church is going to be operating at a much higher and improved level.
Things like our AV, media, first impressions teams, transport, worship, creche and kids have all seen improvements made that will make a huge difference. Add to that our new venue is a fantastic facility to do church in plus new features such as a guest lounge and a shuttle bus service, we really are stepping up.
Our church is completely motivated by reaching people with the greatest news on planet earth. The whole reason we have taken this move is because we know it will help us reach more people and achieve the vision and mandate on our church to be a big and significant church. We are convinced that over the next few years we will see hundreds and hundreds of people say ‘yes’ to Jesus for the first time and be added to our great church. This is what it’s all about and why we do what we do!
This week as we head towards day one at our new venue please do pray for us. We are believing for a great start and if you live in and around Nottingham then do come and see us this Sunday at our new venue. The stage is set, the plans are in place, the only thing missing is you!

Influence!
This Friday night we start a two week series in church called ‘The Wonderful World Of Twitter’ – all about the subject of influence!
The truth is that every one us should be a person of influence. We are all positioned by God to have people around us on a daily basis that we can have positive and difference making influence over. We don’t have to have a position, a title, be on TV or even be a leader to be a person of influence. Every one of us regardless of our age, income, background or qualifications can be an incredible influencer. You just got to belive it!
Joshua was an incredible person of influence and he gave us a key to influence in Joshua 24 when he says those great words “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Influence starts at home, it starts in your house with your wife or husband, your kids, your mum, dad or family member. Your influence starts right there!
If we cannot influence those in our own house then how can we influence anyone else?
Today go home and have some influence!

Being Selective
Some of our core team have just returned from the Stronger Conference which took place at the Abundant Life Church in Bradford. Guest speakers for the three days were Kevin Gerald from Champions Centre in the USA , Magnus Person from United Church in Malmo, Sweden, Scott Wilson from Eurolead & Zhenya Kasevich from Hillsong Church in Kiev. All 4 of these guys are absolute legends. They are building great church’s, they are doing something of real significance and are incredibly gifted leaders. Overall the conference was truly excellent.
As a team we are very selective with the conferences and training opportunities that we invest our time into. We get the opportunity to attend conferences all the time and really could be attending one or two every month if we wished. However, we don’t. In fact we carefully select 3 or 4 conferences each year that we will be present at. But why do we do this? Why are we so selective? Let me give you 3 key reasons as to why we are so selective.
1. We are very focused on building a great church in the city of Nottingham. That is our focus, that is our priority and this is where we put our time ,so anything that takes time away from that has to be worth it.
2. We want to attend things that have the same heart and culture of our church. When we go there we want to know that the conference is going to help us in what we are doing. There is no point attending something that is worlds part from what we are doing. We need to be able to learn from a church that is further down the road than we are so they can help us with what we are doing.
3. We love to network. We think it is vital that we build relationships with other leaders and churches that are doing what we are doing and building churches all over the world like what we are building. If we can learn from each other and build with each other it can only be of help to our church. When we choose our conferences we make sure that we have the opportunity to network with like minded leaders and churches.
That is it for now. Talk soon!
